42. Bonnie and Clyde

What it's about
A man and women who love to rob banks.

What I thought
I liked the banjo music.

What Mum thought
Mum had seen this one before. "This helped shape the 60s anti-hero so well while completely ignoring the Hays code. Whilst it isn't a film I'd want to watch too often, I can certainly appreciate many aspects of it, particularly the performances."

What Dad thought
First time for Dad. "I really enjoyed this film. The performances from the title characters were exceptional, I really empathised with the characters and while I knew it wouldn’t end well the violence of the ending really shocked me.
The characters spiral to their inevitable doom was totally out of their own hands, after the first robbery there wasn’t much else they could do, this film was a great tragedy.
The directing was also really great. It was subtle but professional and every now and then you would have a scene that was framed so artistically it looked like a painting."
