8. Schindler's List

What it's about
It's about a man who buys lots of people to work for him, who would have died if he didn't.

What I thought
I really liked the music, and the man was very nice.

What Mum thought
Mum had seen this one a before. "An amazing and very powerful film about an amazing man. Brilliant performances, great cinematography. Not one thing I could criticise."

What Dad thought
Dad had seen this one before too. "What can I say? A beautiful and very emotional film."

  1. It is a TOP film that everyone must see... I'm not too sure I'd rush out to watch it again though???

  3. Once is enough. I only half watched it this time round - it is around 3 hours and I had things to do. But I agree everyone should see it.

David - I'm now intrigued as to what you didn't like about it?

  4. the film has always felt cynical to me rather than personal. one big long cry from spielberg to please, please give me an oscar.
the reference your adorable photo makes exemplifies this. that girl with the red coat is the whole reason that film is black and white drives me up the wall.

  5. I can kind of see your point. Including Redcap in a colour film wouldn't have had the same impact.

As for the please give me an award for this thing. I feel like that about The Pacific even though everyone seems to love it.
